Katharina N. Acosta

Katharina (Lorelei) is a recent graduate of the Benjamin T. Rome school of Music at the Catholic University of America where she majored in vocal performance. During her studies there she had the opportunities to work in such opera productions as The Medium as Mrs.Gobineau ( Menotti), Suor Angelica as the Mistress of Novice (Puccini) and Little Women as Meg (Adamo) and most recently in Madamma Butterfly as CIO CIO San’s cousin (Puccini).

Although her area of expertise is in opera, Katharina also loves performing in many different styles of music whether it be classical or contemporary opera, jazz, musical theater or modern popular music. Katharina started her vocal training at The Duke Ellington School of Performing Arts and later during high school was accepted into the concurrent enrollment program at Anne Arundel Community College where she performed her leading opera role as the Evil Witch in Hansel and Gretel (Humperdinck). Her future plans are to continue her studies in vocal technique at a graduate level and to use all of her musical skills to build a vast and successful musical career.
